This course seeks to introduce the following topics: arithmetic operations; algebraic expressions and equations; linear equations in two variables; exponents and polynomials; Cartesian coordinates; functions and graphs; linear inequalities; polynomials and rational functions; an introduction to exponential and logarithmic functions; sets; and elements of probability and statistics. Laboratory fee; 3 credit hours.
